LKS is an organisation with the mission of social, economical and political empowerment of the disadvantaged and marginalised sections of the society especially Dalits and women. It works in India’s one of the most challenging areas – Thar desert – with most vulnerable people.

In a short span of a little over a decade, LKS has emerged as a voice of the local people. It has touched almost all aspects of their lives, providing them immediate relief and also long term solutions.

Though LKS has fair funding support from several funding organisations, it is always short of funds seeing the enormity of problems in the area. We earnestly appeal to you to donate profusely for the sake of these vulnerable people. The amount of donation is immaterial – you can donate as little or as much as possible. We shall duly acknowledge the same in this web site.

One of the most severe problems in the area is water. The poor villagers have to construct and repair tankis (water tanks) to store water for quenching their thirst. It is quite resource intensive activity. You may donate full cost of a tanki construction of its repairs. For the cost involved in this, you may write to us.
