Dalit Sangharsh Samiti, Baitu Branch, held a meeting at Kanod. Men and women members of the committee of the 10 villages of Baitu Panchayat Samiti and villagers from dalit category participated in the meeting. Punmaram Meghwal, president, Dalit Sangharsh Samiti, said that the main agenda of the meeting was to review the work done by the government under NIIG scheme and then to make efforts to get the benefits available to the socially backward and women. He said that selection of work, facilities at the workplace and other important subjects under Rajasthan Gramin Rojgar Guarantee Scheme were also discussed. It was decided that Dalit Adhikar Abhiyan, Baitu, would run a Gramin Rojgar Guarantee awareness campaign in the area between June 20 and July 20. Slogan writing, pamphlet distribution, puppet shows, street plays, speeches, etc., would be organised as a part of the campaign.
