A symbolic one day protest was held outside the district collectorate on Friday under the banner of Jan Morcha Rajasthan. The protest was held to demand equal education system.  On the other hand the villagers handed over a memorandum to press for the arrest of the accused responsible for murderous attack on a woman. In another incident, compensation was demanded in the case of death of a labourer and injury to four others when balcony of a under construction house fell on them.

At the end of protest demanding implementation of equal education system the Jan Morcha delegation met the collector and gave a memorandum to him. The memorandum demanded implementation of equal education system, an end to discrimination and commercialisation of education, ensuring compulsory education, free and compulsory education till 18 years of age, etc. Members of Dalit Pairawi Manch, Dechu, Dalit Adhikar Manch, Manaklal,  Pahal Vikas Sansthan, Khudiwala, Sakshi Sansthan, Mokheri, Bal Pairawi Manch, Baitu, and Kisan Sabha, Manaklal, were present during the protest.

The irate villagers came to Jodhpur over non-arrest of the accused involved in the murderous attack and non-examination of injuries of Pani Devi and Sayari, mother and aunt of Pukhraj Meghwal, residing in Budakia village in Bhopalgarh Panchayat Samiti. They met the chief medical and health officer and gave him a memorandum demanding constitution of a medical board and proper investigation. The two women are admitted here in the hospital.

Kamanga Pathar Union demanded compensation for the labour who died, and those four who got injured when the balcony of the house under consruction in the Sardarpura area fell on them. Union secretary Durga Prasad and vice president Abdul Rashid informed the administration that lack of money is coming as a hurdle in the treatment of the injured. So compensation amount should be given to the affected families immediately and strong legal action be taken against the landlord after filing a complaint.
