Lok Kalyan Sansthan is a non-government, non-profit, apolitical voluntary organisation based in Baitu, a tehsil (sub-district) in Barmer district, Rajasthan, India.
Rajasthan is the largest State of India and internationally known for its magnificent forts, picturesque hills, sand dunes, and distinct culture. Yet this state is counted among the least developed states of India with women occupying lowest place on the social ladder.
LKS works in Barmer, Jaisalmer, Jalore and Jodhpur districts through multi-sectoral strategic interventions. A large part of the organisation’s operational area falls in Thar Desert, known for hardship of life.
